The Language Production Laboratory at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology seeks to fill a vacancy for one full-time Coordinator of Research Programs. The purpose of this position is to administratively coordinate, conduct, and facilitate research on adult language processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee purchasing and repairs of equipment and supplies
- Coordinate recruitment, payment, consent, and debriefing of research participants
- Administer approval processes for institutional review of research protocols
- Maintain computers and peripheral devices and software packages
- Construct and edit materials for experiments using digital audio, video, and eyetracking equipment and software
- Transcribe, code, and analyze experimental data
- Recruit and supervise undergraduate student assistants and other research personnel
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, computer science, linguistics, or related field. Minimum one year of relevant research experience as well as good writing ability, experience using computers, demonstrated interpersonal skills, and evidence of a strong work ethic, including ability to work independently. Fluency in English required; fluency in a second language desirable.
The Coordinator of Research Programs position is a 100% full-time, benefits-eligible Academic Professional position. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
