Scott White received his Ph.D. (Engineering Mechanics) from The Pennsylvania Statue University in 1990. He is a professor in the U of I Department of Aerospace Engineering and a part-time faculty member in the Beckman Institute Autonomous Materials Systems group. His field of interest is materials design covering the areas of autonomic materials systems, composite materials, meso- and micro structural design, and the processing science of polymeric materials.
