Robert M. Fossum received his Ph.D. from The University of Michigan in 1965. He is a professor in the Department of Mathematics and a part-time faculty member in the Beckman Institute Information Formation and Processing group. His interests are in algebraic groups, classical invariant theory, and applications of geometry and algebra to computer vision.
