Eric Pop joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering faculty at UIUC in 2007. His interests are in carbon nanotubes and graphene, power dissipation in nanoscale integrated circuits, and novel non-volatile memory devices. Prior to UIUC, he worked at Intel on phase-change memory and Flash. He did post-doctoral work at Stanford on the electrical and thermal properties of carbon nanotubes (2005). He received his Ph.D. in EE from Stanford (2005), and holds M.S./B.S. degrees in EE and a B.S. in Physics from MIT (1999). He has been the recipient of the DARPA Young Faculty Award (YFA), the Arnold O. Beckman Research Award, the SRC Fellowship, and an SRC Best Paper award.
