Dan Roth received his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1995. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at the U of I and a part-time faculty member in the Beckman Institute Artificial Intelligence group. His fields of professional interest are computational learning theory, machine learning, reasoning, natural language, and cognitive modeling.
Honors: Best Paper Award, IJCAI'99, 16th International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence (1999); NSF Career Award (2000); IBM Faculty Equipment Award (1999).
