Chilin Shih received her Ph. D. from the University of California, San Diego in Linguistics. She is an assistant professor in the department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the Department of Linguistics, and a part-time member of the Beckman Institute in the Cognitive Science group. Her field of research interests are in linguistics, speech technologies, prosody modeling and prosody perception.
