Amy Shih earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan in 1999, a M.S. in Computer Science from Eastern Michigan University in 2003, and a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Computational Biology from the University of Illinois in 2008. Her thesis research focused on characterizing the structure, assembly, and maturation of high-density lipoproteins using computational and experimental techniques. In the summer of 2008, Amy began work as a Beckman Institute Postdoctoral Fellow where her research centers on biophysical characterizations of the structure and function of health-relevant biomolecules and in particular Cytochrome P450's.
