N. R. Aluru received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1995. He is an associate professor in the UIUC Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering and a full-time faculty member in the Beckman Institute Computational Multiscale Nanosystems group. His fields of professional interest are microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), microfluidics, Bio-MEMS, numerical methods, and parallel algorithms.
Honors: CAREER Award, National Science Foundation (1999); NCSA Faculty Fellow, UIUC (1999-2000).
